Defining Your Biceps

There's this guy at the gym that never lets us get lazy. Just when you get comfortable with a program, he comes up with some little gem. Here is one that is simple and very effective. This can be done on it's own, but it really does a job if you have already done your heavy biceps workout for the day.
Just take an empty bar, no weights, and use a normal standing biceps curl stance. Hold the bar so that your elbows are at your side and your forearms straight out in front of you, parallel to the floor. Raise the bar to your chin and then back down to the parallel position. Do this seven times.
Next, begin with the bar almost touching your thighs, and bring it up to the parallel position. Do this seven times.
Now, begin at your thighs and come all the way up to your chin. Do this, you guessed it, seven times. Do three or four sets of these, if you can. At first, it seems too easy, but believe me, you will feel the burn.
It's a great one to get your buddies to do after they have done their regular biceps workout. They will think you are joking until they try it. Add this to your program and you will notice a big difference in your biceps developement.
Father and Son
A few years ago the reality of life hit me like a stack of blueberry pancakes. Without my permission, my body had gone south. It had never been a problem for me. Staying fairly active and eating what my heart desired had always worked pretty well. The next thing I knew, my son was poking me in the stomach and waiting for me to giggle. So, I cut out my favorite snacks and waited for the improvement. Nothing happened. I knew it was time to get serious, so I joined a prestigeous health club.
Who am I kidding? I signed up at the local YMCA and am still a proud member. Actually, most of us there prefer the relaxed and affordable atmosphere it provides. I haven't stayed on my programs 100% of the time, but overall it has kept me in great shape. My son started to notice that old dad was looking better, so he started working out with me. Now, we have a great activity that transcends age and gives us quality time together.
